NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL CANCELLED?

I did hear rumors about Notting Hill carnival being cancelled but now I know whats REALLY good! People living in the surrounding areas of Notting Hill are REQUESTING the carnival be cancelled, it hasn't actually BEEN cancelled.  These residents are seriously urging their Prime Minister to CANCEL this year's carnival because of the riots?!?!

For one, I don't think it will fly. I understand that they are in fear that the rioting will happen again and the gangs will flock to the area but yo, the carnival is scheduled for this weekend so I think it's too late in the game to NOW plead for this cancellation.

It may be full of headaches an bacchanal but I glad to be a Trini yes.  The country could be in a state of utter confusion or turmoil but Carnival Monday and Tuesday it will ALL STOP, the people of Trinidad AND abroad will play their mas and life will resume come Ash Wednesday.  Trini's live 363 days of the year for carnival nothing like this would happen there. Proud to be a Trini!
